Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Alabaster Brow occasionally pretends to be a statue. He wandered into a town in the early morning, looking for a well and dump to raid, but the early risers came out earlier than planned. Panicking, his first brilliant idea was to hold a pose until they went away. They fell for it, assuming a government guy erected a handsome silver statue during the night. They liked it very much and never assumed that was a real dragon, but it was after sunset before all the humans went home, and Alabaster Brow was exhausted. The next day, he stayed in the outskirts to sniff around, and the silly humans were rather upset their "statue" had been stolen and threatened their government guys to riot if it wasn't returned. Feeling sorry for the community's leaders, Alabaster Brow was back in the middle of town the next morning, and the townspeople were pleased. Happily for the government guys, they had been persuaded that he's a magic statue and appears only on semi-special days.
