Garland Dragons are a welcome sight in the skies during the holiday season. Their slightly luminous scales shine softly at night or catch the day’s sunbeams as they turn loops and spirals in the sky. They will often drape themselves around tall pine trees or along rooflines, adding a festive note to the winter scenery. Occasionally they drop red mana berries from their garland-like mane, which offer a comforting warmth to those that find them.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Abugida hangs on a pair of collar beams on 32 Path-on-Soft-Soil in West Bend. Why this particular building in this particular settlement is... a good question. She's spoken vaguely about the culture and the writing system used by human inhabitants of West Bend. Garlands move around a lot, at least according to reports and records here, but this one doesn't travel out of West Bend much, and it's possible she's estranged from her family or is lying low for safety reasons. She's really nice and personable, and she sheds berries that anyone can take and use, so people don't want to ask too many questions of her or do anything that might cause her to leave. If a dispute occurs over those red gems, it's quickly quashed by other community members in an effort to minimize disharmony around her.
