Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Jodan Leather is a strange one for sure. On the ground he is rather a bumbling, lumbering, ungainly, sort. Not your average black. The others tend to poke fun at Jodan, but he doesn't mind, he knows he is different. Jodan does however exhibit other typically black traits. He is intensely loyal, a fierce warrior, and utterly formidable when challenged. Unlike most blacks, he also possesses a wonderful sense of humor, which he uses to ease tension among the ranks of the black border guards. To see him soar up into the skies, now that is where all the clumsiness seems to just fall away. Aloft he is all grace and elegance. With wind beneath his wings, Jodan can out maneuver any black, most grays, and even an occasional skywing.
