Skystrider Dragons are known for almost never leaving the air as they have no other means of defense if attacked. The main exception to this rule is when they nest in the branches of ancient trees to sleep. This airborne tendency can make raising and keeping Skystrider Dragons an extra challenge. Males have a row of poisonous spines along their backs while females have a venomous bite. Skystrider Dragons mostly prey on birds and flying insects, leading their presence to be welcomed by farmers who often leave out treats hoping to lure a group nearby.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Woodenness lives in an apartment sometimes, when her human, money-earning acquaintance-maybe-friend, Tosh, lets her. He's not actually named "Tosh", but his full name has a lot more syllables. Staying on land in a building is a strange thing for a skystrider, but Woodenness was raised from egghood in a neighboring town and taught a lot of people stuff, including that it's proper to not be homeless. Her family kicked her out when she was old enough and her desire to fly became too much for them, but they know her whereabouts and still visit when she lives in an apartment. She only lives in it sometimes because other times, she's in flight. Although Tosh dislikes her flippant attitude, her eating a lot of his food during her stays, and the way she keeps calling him Tosh, she is fastidious and clean, leaving his place nicer-looking than it was before, and she's very useful as a bringer of news and interesting rumors.
