Speckle-Throated Dragons are an active, playful breed. They are easily excited and rarely remain still, spending much of their time in the air. Living in groups of up to sixty dragons, they nest in open plains and at the bases of mountains. Their speckled throats are their most distinctive feature, as well as the loud, echoing call they produce to communicate with one another. Female Speckle-Throats are slightly smaller than males and lack a head crest. However, they are swifter and more agile and prefer to hunt in small groups in order to take down prey.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Bugle is an especially loud speckle throated dragon, and is well known for her loud call. She serves as a messenger for her master, as her endless supply of energy and echoing call make her perfect for the job. If there is to be an important gathering, Bugle flies far and wide, using her call to inform the other dragons. If there is an emergency, such as vampires in the area, Bugle flies as fast as possible and makes sure to alert everyone with a call as loud as four roars at once. In return for her help, her master built a roost and a small treehouse for her to live in. The Guardian of Nature dragon that lives in the nearby mountain predicts that once Bugle has chosen a mate and had offspring, her hatchling will be three times as loud as her. Many of the elderly dragons nearby call this a terrible prophecy, and try their best to stop Bugle from choosing a mate so that they may stop the horribly loud terror from ever being hatched.
