When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Zuisa rarely surfaces now days, remaining in a series of underwater bejeweled caverns, the only place where she feels truly safe. As only a young hatchling she was captured by poachers, spending hours half submerged in alkaline water, irritating her scales, while the other half lay exposed to the sun's harmful rays. This torture was only ended when the clans rescued her, yet the memory of giving up and her desperation, realization that nobody was coming for her outweighs the unconscious moment of relief. Casting off the society she could not trust to support her, Zuisa fled through the tunnels until she reached a deserted lake. Taking a deep breath, she dived down, deep deep down, until she was left miles underwater and starved of breath. With her vision blackening, a glimpse of glowing caught her eye, and with each muscle aching, she pushed her way over to a pothole of air. Desperately inhaling the precious air, she found herself at her new home, where she remains to that day.
