Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
For a long time, nobody really paid any attention to ZR0. He was a holly, but he was never there when anything memorable happened and since he never signed any of the gifts he sent, nobody knew if they should thank him or another dragon. He is incredibly klutzy and rather slow-witted as well, so few dragons go to the bother of talking to him regularly.
Eventually, of course, ZR0 did get involved in something memorable. He was well south of Nworset, near the two human cities (both infamous for their dislike of dragonkind). They had arranged another dragon-slaying party—this one was huge—and ZR0 happened across them. He wasn't trying to do anything, but he knocked over a dead tree which felled a larger tree; ripping it up caused a bit of a landslide upon the unfortunate humans. While it didn't stop the army, it delayed them enough for Sylvaeus to alert Nworset and organize a resistance.
In honor of ZR0's heroism, Nworset now celebrates Christmas biannually—in December and mid-July.
