Few dragons embody serenity and potential quite as perfectly as Avatars of Creation. They dedicate their abilities to the arts of healing and growing, and their shimmering scales seem to glow in accordance with their mood. The tendrils of an Avatar of Creation grow slowly throughout its life, and the longer the tendrils grow, the more potent its abilities become.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

She was gentle and patient, swift to descend and slow to depart in times of trouble, an ever present angel of mercies. Yet even as she toiled the long years away in the service of others, something seemed to haunt her. It was nothing she said and nothing she did, but a weariness in the eyes, a painful hunching of the back... and the cries. No one ever saw her crying, but wherever she was, the doves burst into a song of agony every night.
