Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Zmiea could be considered a rather loving and protective dragon. She's accepting of life and the challenges it can bring, and has a predominantly optimistic view. The Albino Dragon holds a kind of affection for the Daydream Dragon, Varci, but rarely sees him. Whilst Varci spends most of his time high in the sky, Zmiea is uncomfortable being so close to the sun. Instead, she prefers to fly closer to the ground, where there are shadows she can easily duck into.

Her greatest pride and joy would be her son, Cazan, who is often flying at her side or at least somewhere close by. She is extremely protective of him, almost unbearably so, and in her eyes he's still a young hatchling. As far as she's concerned, he probably always will be.

She lives under the rule of the elder Stone Dragon, Ciwak.
