Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Arriving just after Mentha Verdant and his three devoted friends, Marta the Orion was a wild young hatchling, looking for trouble, adventure, and definitely without the idealism demonstrated by Mentha and his friends.  She settled in the Southern Verdant Stony Shallows, where she spied a young Flamingo Wyvern, Apophis the Goa'uld, and decided he would be hers.  Appealing to his selfishness and vanity, they started producing their rude, egotistical brood of dragons.  Generally fishing the coast, they seldom wander to the heart of Verdant, and then, only to insult and harass the community of dragons they find there.  Marta is known for gathering and spitting pebbles and rocks at the Verdant dragons, and the Embers always chase her and her foul offspring far from the community.
