Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Jidthumsun Thuwedsish is descended from a noble clan of dragons. It is said these dragons reside with the greatest of the dragon keepers, and it is unknown as to how or why his egg ended up in an abandoned pile of dragon eggs but it doesn't really matter any more. The Master picked up this egg as soon as she spotted it, not expecting it to be the offspring of such a noble clan. The egg quickly hatched in the morning as a sunrise dragon and grew up in the great care of the Master and other sunrises. Jidthumsun grew up a noble dragon, calm natured with a beautiful voice and he would sing along with FirstIlluminationsish to greet the sun each morning. He is an intelligent dragon, wise in the fact that he listens to his fellow, more-experienced sunrise dragons. Someday, Jidthumsun wishes to meet others from his noble clan but for now is mostly satisfied to remain in the peaceful dragon sanctuary.
