Spirit Ward Dragons are a special breed that ward off evil spirits—at least, that’s what the legends say. During nighttime festivals, people love to see these dragons, because they believe that the dragons guard against evil spirits. The dragons are dark-colored, but glow with a flame-colored internal light that has an intensity that they control.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Ward saw two choices before him in adulthood: either live in a big community and do a "Job", or live alone and fear for his life daily. He picked the former, but due to a mishap, he is now difficult to hire. He found an ad on the Tree Post calling for a "gaolkeeper", experience required. Since he had a stint as a dungeon guard before, he signed up, figuring things wouldn't be so different. The "gaol" was actually a net on a Kick the Ball into the Other Team's Goal field, but Ward didn't know that. On his first day as a "gaolkeeper", he brought a perp in, and she easily burned through the detention area and terrorized those on the field. Since the net had a smoking hole and two players were slain (and they were on the same team so it wasn't an even match-up), the game couldn't go on, which upset viewers. Ward was fired for not looking past a spelling error, and due to his infamy, finding another Job was difficult. Nowadays, he mostly subs for night shift guardians whenever one is sick.
