Failed attempts to experiment with magic often result in transforming dragons into these hellish creatures. They are extremely dangerous, and will mindlessly kill any living creature without regard to friend or foe.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Two-headed dragons are unique enough to deserve a separate classification from ordinary dragons. They have two necks, two brains, two mouths, but one stomach and one main body. The two heads usually work together, but there are times when they will fight each other, snapping back and forth. Their unique anatomy prevents them from breeding with single-headed dragons.

Alive and Dead was a friendly, peaceful, thoughtful, and lively blancblack when alive. Now, as an undead dragon, he is not at all friendly or peaceful or thoughtful, and other dragons in and around Grease Formation really wish he would be less alive. He isn't believed to have died under tragic or horrible circumstances, but the details are a mystery, and his death and reanimation are still being investigated by the Grease Formation Inquiry Team. In fact, it has become a guessing game for the youngsters in the community. The most popular idea is that someone thought "Alive and Dead" wasn't an appropriate name for a living dragon and so carried out a murder and then intentionally botched a revival spell on him.
