Hailing from northern climes, the Boreal Dragon prefers cold, snowy weather. A very secretive and solitary breed, they rarely descend from the mountains they call home. The breed communicates over long distances via loud, low-pitched bellows. These calls often cause avalanches at the peril of any creature unable to run or fly away to safety.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Offstage is an odd shade of pale gray-green, and if one looks closely enough, one sees that his tail-tip is an orange hue, though nobody except his parents and mate has been allowed to look closely. He seems unbothered by his unusual appearance except when it interferes with something he's trying to accomplish. He's not the sociable sort, and when he finds himself in a situation that's too exciting and novel and involves a lot of dragons, he gets a headache and a feeling of malaise. Even if he's happy in such a situation, the illness comes anyway, like the rest of his person has decided to punish him for his behavior, without his mind's permission. Some dragons unhelpfully suggest to Offstage that his greenness and susceptibility to illness correlate (he's certain they don't). Others insinuate that he's making a bigger deal of whatever-it-is than it really is or even making the whole thing up as an excuse to avoid socializing. Those are the sorts he would love to bury in an avalanche.
