Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has an insatiable appetite.

And look! It’s developed a sharp, bony crest on its snout. It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

User Description

Smart Strike rams anything she doesn't like using her face, from bad-tasting rocks to noisy dragons, although hitting older dragons gets her in trouble, so she usually avoids that. It doesn't seem fair that she's not allowed to beat the small breeds despite their diminutive size just begging for a good smack, but that's what "getting along with others" means. Smart Strike brags that once she puts her mind to hitting something, she never misses. Her guardian's (gradually-expanding) cave is dotted with the remains of all kinds of little arthropods and mollusks, which the intrepid insectivores of the area like to eat if they manage to sneak in. Smart Strike frequently demonstrates her skill to visitors by letting them toss an eggshell or other debris and lobbing it with her nose. She might also lob a visitor she dislikes, but she's been told she should curb that behavior.
