Frostbite Dragons first appear at the beginning of winter, creeping in with the frosts. They have found their place in human lore as the spirits of snow, since they only reveal themselves during icy weather. In the depths of winter, they cover the world in blankets of snow and are believed to be responsible for the glittering frost that creeps over everything. Although they appear cold and distant, they are actually rather mischievous and enjoy spending time dancing through blizzards.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

He's a lot like his father, Shiver: mischievous, sneaky, and nothing but trouble. Like Shiver, he will constantly pull vicious pranks on his family and pass them off as harmless jokes. He's a schemer for sure, always plotting something and getting away with murder. Ice is way too smart for his own good, often getting himself into situations he can't easily escape. And yet he manages to do so by the skin of his fangs every single time. It's no wonder his family despises him and has been desperately trying to discipline him, but, of course, Ice manages to get out of lectures just as easily as any other wild misadventure. Despite all of this, however, Ice is by no means malicious or spiteful. Though he tends to go pretty far with his pranks, he's never trying to hurt anyone (not trying, should be emphasized.) He'll almost never bully girls, it just doesn't feel right to him. He'll only ever go after his uncle and father and occasionally the bratty Peridot if he feels she deserves it.
