Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Hanica once lived in a city of dracons. As a wyrmling, she tried to participate in physical sports but was constantly taunted for polishing herself obsessively. She tried to repress the behavior, but it was too hard. It was only worsened by her habit of blaming herself for the habits of luminias, and over the years it condensed into self-loathing.

Eventually, Hanica fled into the mountains northwest of the town, and found a cave to make her weyr. The weyr's walls are lined with her old scales that are damaged, dull, and more often than not stained or muddy. Its mouth is wreathed in thorn bushes that prevent passing through without damage, even for its owner.

Hanicia worships Akebono, the goddess of Oath and Abandon; and has sworn to Her the abandonment of beauty, going so far as to bind herself in order to avoid preening her scales. Likewise, she worships Hense, the goddess of Pain and Pleasure, taking in a bitter joy for when she succeeds at besting herself despite the detriment to herself.
