Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Wind Breather was born with a mutation that made his bones extremely fragile and left him almost completely blind. He is rather helpless in most respects, but the same disadvantages he was born with caused him to pay extreme attention to detail and have an extremely careful and soft touch because he had to concentrate hard to figure out where he was going and one wrong misstep could cause his bones to shatter. This extreme attention to detail and gentle hands led him to become a very good artist. One of his works can take 10 years or more to complete, because he is forced to take things slow and steady because of his disabilities, making his works as close to perfect as can be. His art has become very well known and is worth more then a king's ransom. He has already accumulated enough wealth from his art to live in comfort for a long time. Sadly his disabilities have left him vulnerable and lonely though. He has become bitter and cold because of his tough life.
