Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Philosophy Chameleon philosophizes, or rather, he pseudo-philosophizes. Most observe that he spews mumbo-jumbo that is meant to sound wise but actually has little substance or is completely nonsensical, and he seems to be having too much fun to be serious. Where wise men offer thought-inducing and pithy koans, he offers puzzling ice cream koans. Most of the humans he visits seem to believe he's a venerable dragon who meets them to dispense insights. His favorite two-part saying that some of the locals have been puzzling over for years goes, "If my dreams were like loving, would your colours be easy," a question whose answer is apparently, "Red, gold, and green".
