Floret Wyverns are an elegant breed, named for the flowerlike mane and tail each individual possesses. They project small fields of magic around themselves that calm those in the field’s proximity, for a short while replacing anxiety and anger with peace-of-mind. Florets are strikingly wise; they often share their knowledge of the world with whomever is willing to listen and learn. They are very faithful to those close to them, and are especially devoted to their partners and young. It is said that the lasting friendship of a Floret is one of the highest testaments to one’s true character.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The most magically gifted in the Flitterflock Family, Witch Hazel enjoys experimenting with brews, potions, spells, and tomes to cast a wide variety of magicks. Being that it's her associated element, she's best in Life magic, which she uses primarily to heal or enhance the senses of herself and others. However, she is pretty well-versed in the other Valkmarian elements and can utilize them fairly well. Unlike the rest of her family, Witch Hazel is not a gifted gardener. Her parents and many of her siblings tend to multiple flower and crop gardens that they religiously prune and care for. Witch Hazel was not born with a green talon, but she does have extensive knowledge in botany. While she may not be able to grow plants herself (at least not without a healthy dose of Life magic), she does understand the properties and benefits of most local flora, which she uses to great effect in her portion brewing. Very often, Witch Hazel will make runs to her family's farms to gather supplies.
