Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. No one is more paranoid about cold weather than Comic Strip. She will wear or toss onto herself a heap of fabrics and human-crafted clothing as soon as she feels a sneeze coming. The other dragons are perfectly fine lying around on a balmy day, while their balmy clanmate busies herself by wrapping herself up even more warmly. Occasionally, someone will finally demand that Comic Strip stop being a pile of laundry and remove all those articles. She's a funny sight with a bunch of clothes on but looks funnier clumsily removing the scarves and capes and ill-fitting jackets. At least once she'll trip over and land on her face, making the dragons, especially the hatchlings, guffaw. That is why the young ones nicknamed her Comic Strip.
