Venturis Dragons are a peaceful breed that reside in cooler regions toward the bases of mountains where they can raise their young without the threat of predators drawing too close. They are known for their ability to sense distress, and use telepathy—coupled with a strong sense of empathy—to solve disputes. It is commonly believed that interacting with a Venturis dragon will bring a future of good fortune. They are also known as Heralds of Tranquility in olden lore. Despite their seemingly elusive nature, Venturis Dragons have often been spotted near villages torn apart by war and destruction.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Greathearted was named as soon as she hatched, by the people of the balmy region of Dreus who had never seen this kind of dragon before. The egg was believed to be a relic or stone imbued with some pleasant magic, since touching it had a calming effect. Thus, the "rock" passed through the area and came in contact with many people, and those thought to have the Sad and Lethargic Curse found it especially soothing. Right about the time people were starting to draft schedules for it, the rock broke, and a baby popped out. Witnesses agreed upon a name for it immediately, but the greater problem remained: nobody, not even the dragons who kind of resembled the pearly little thing, knew how to care for it. Over time, they found that Greathearted seemed to adjust easily to any method of teaching and living arrangement, though she's shier than they hoped. She follows no schedule, but she still likes to wander around Dreus, offering help to inhabitants.
