Floret Wyverns are an elegant breed, named for the flowerlike mane and tail each individual possesses. They project small fields of magic around themselves that calm those in the field’s proximity, for a short while replacing anxiety and anger with peace-of-mind. Florets are strikingly wise; they often share their knowledge of the world with whomever is willing to listen and learn. They are very faithful to those close to them, and are especially devoted to their partners and young. It is said that the lasting friendship of a Floret is one of the highest testaments to one’s true character.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Calla is a very sweet individual. She tries to treat everyone like a friend, even when they will not do the same for her. Calla has some pretty incredible patience. She can withstand a lot, and her calming fields of magic aid in deterring those that wish to shout at or do her harm. But even Calla has a limit. If she is pushed over the edge somehow, Calla goes straight from cool as a cucumber to red as a jalapeo. It is jarring to see such a pristine dragon go completely wild and rage-filled, but it is a sight to behold. One would not assume Calla's soft, soothing voice even had the capacity to shout, but, get her mad enough, and those soothing melodies become shrill cries of loathing rage so fast. Once an episode like this has concluded, it takes a while for Calla to calm down. She typically isolates herself or comes into the comfort of her family until she fully regains her sanity. But best be certain she avoids those that angered her like the plague.
