Canopy Dragons love to soar above the tropical jungles and other densely forested areas. Their billowing, layered wings create generous lift that allows them to ascend effortlessly over the warm jungle. While their unique wings do not make them the fastest flyers, they are champion gliders. To further this end, dexterity, maneuverability, and grace are all judged by the females when selecting their mates from the males that can accurately complete the exhausting and elaborate courtship dance between the close growing branches of the upper canopy.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Taking the name of Silver, this dragon is one of the leaders of a group of female Canopy dragons. He shares his leadership with another Canopy named Gold. To dragons who are not of his species, Silver can seem indifferent, an anti-social dragon who might have a soft side. That is not who Silver is.

He is a monster in a dragons skin. The females fear him, the scars he leaves on them permanent. Silver has never actually tried to gain eggs, since he prefers Gold over the females in the group. He is selfish, being nice to the females and talking to them one day and then slashing them the next. He doesn't like the orphaned hatchlings who are held captive in the group, however, and has hurt them a few times with his claws and teeth.

Silver has personally attacked dragons who act negatively towards Gold. While this has caused him to almost die a few times, Gold always gets the female members to help him out, killing any who dare defy his group.
