Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Klianne is one of the few dragons who suspects that her father Oroylther has ulterior motives, but she keeps quiet about this because she desperately wants to be liked by the rest of the clan. She, like all Gold Dragons, is rather pretty, and she has several faithful friends, but popularity is her most important and valued priority. She's perceptive but not altogether intelligent and is known for making social blunders and spreading misinformation, which has led to her reputation as untrustworthy.
