Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mary Sue is the most beautiful dragon in the cave. She's not truly an albino dragon; it's a disguise. In reality her scales change colors constantly based on her mood, pinks and rainbow and golds and silver, and her eyes change color to be the favorite color of whomever views them. All who come upon her love her and despair at ever finding anyone else as amazing as her, because there's just no way to be as flawless. Mary Sue is more than happy to go at length about her good qualities and how amazing, selfless, and loving she is. She's also never lacking in stories about how she saved the day, the world, and the whole universe, all while winning over the most handsome dragons she's ever seen.

Much to her confusion, the other dragons of Nadat's cave aren't all that interested in spending time with her.
