Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

White Stained Red is the good and the bad at once. She is sweet, loving, and playful during the day, but she has trouble controlling her dark, violent vampire instincts. The wise leader of her cave, Black Gaze, once said she was "a dragon's heart shown to the world." As a young vampire, she was named White. Her mother always insisted that she didn't mean to bite her egg, and that was why she tried to raise her to control her instincts. However, the cave was intimidated by having one vampire present and her mother didn't want to spark tensions, so when White grew, she had to leave the cave. However, she lost control her first night in the open and was covered in her victim's blood. Healing magic went wrong, and the stains froze on her flesh. Her name is White Stained Red to this day.
