Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Lystrosaurus and her motley family are the only dragons in the region who farm and keep animals. Most dragons just steal livestock from humans, but Lystrosaurus is too afraid to steal from anyone, fearing they'll find and kill her during the day. Everyone else on the farm feels she's a bit too cautious, but they contentedly work and live on the farm and in the tunnels far below, glad to have easy-to-reach food sources. Lystrosaurus is the only one who herds the cattle, sheep, and goats at dusk, since she's the only nocturnal dragon that the animals don't get skittish around. While a guarded and shy individual, she treats thieves with a kind of ferocity not seen in any other situation: anyone who invades the family farm to harm or anything or anyone is pursued and eaten, one of the ways she ensures they can't later return while she's idle.
