Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When she was still in her egg, Aphthong heard a most wonderful sound, that of a lyre playing. She fought to leave it to see what produced the sound. After that meeting with the human, she never saw the same instrument again. For several years, Aphthong traveled the region to find another, and fortunately, she eventually did, coming across a reclusive luthier in the woods who specialized in lyres. However, he wanted payment that she didn't have, so she offered her skills to people of the nearby town to earn enough to trade. The only thing the town needed was an entertainer for the children, specifically, one to do puppet shows. It was a little embarrassing for Aphthong to spend two months acting and doing magic with marionettes, but she eventually earned enough metal circles to pay for a beautiful custom instrument, which she keeps with her at all times. It's no surprise that she was willing pull some strings to get what she wanted.
