Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Molten Silver Metal is not Arachnid Wyvern, but she wishes she were. Arachnid Wyvern is gorgeous, intelligent, charming, and perfect—everything Molten Silver Metal is not. She's bulky, rocky, and flightless. She cannot walk five steps without her claws catching on something, and try as she might, she cannot make out the squiggles in books and scrolls. Nobody wants to hug a magma dragon, and everyone leaves Molten Silver Metal alone. She doesn't interact with others much, so she's socially awkward, and because she's socially awkward, others don't want to interact with her much. Her attempts to make friends often come off as creepy. Molten Silver Metal is too polite to bother Arachnid Wyvern, but she wishes she could be a golden wyvern like her.
