Venturis Dragons are a peaceful breed that reside in cooler regions toward the bases of mountains where they can raise their young without the threat of predators drawing too close. They are known for their ability to sense distress, and use telepathy—coupled with a strong sense of empathy—to solve disputes. It is commonly believed that interacting with a Venturis dragon will bring a future of good fortune. They are also known as Heralds of Tranquility in olden lore. Despite their seemingly elusive nature, Venturis Dragons have often been spotted near villages torn apart by war and destruction.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Preachiness probably has no permanent home, though her favorite sky area is above a gravesite not far from Doboja, a pretty organized one that still gets new interments. No one knows exactly why she likes it so much, but everyone there feels a sense of peace when they're there and see her overhead, or they think they see her overhead. Even individuals rendered immobile by grief calm down and feel more at ease when Preachiness floats down and delivers some soothing ideas to them. She is, unfortunately, subject to a persistent wicked rumor: some claim to have seen her interacting in a friendly manner with some horrible dragons, the sorts who are brutish and vicious and would gladly put people in graves. Slander. One persistent gossipmonger insists Preachiness has "close relations" with one, which is totally wrong. Preachiness herself seems uncaring and unaffected by the nasty tales, and this cool serenity is another reason folks like her so much.
