Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. StoneyNose is a very shy and innocent dragon. She prefers to see the best in everybody and refuses to believe that anyone could be bad or evil. This causes her to be easily deceived and naive to the world around her. Most of the dragons would never dream of tricking such a trusting dragon, but there are those who would. That is why her mate, NightVines is very protective over her and never lets her go anywhere without him. He is her shadow and protector. She prefers to believe that if that does happen it is only an opportunity to learn. One of her examples is when she and FlyingSwallowtail were mates, she learned that she needed someone who would be with her all the time and look after her. Now she has found NightVines.
