Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It likes to perch on the high branches of the taller trees and look longingly up at the sky.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This young hatchling is part of a group of twisted Canopy Dragons that reside in a small forest. Referring to itself as a male, Skinned is a quiet and shy Canopy. He has a tendency to stare at others and gets distracted easily. The few hatchlings in the group feel that Skinned is stuck in his own head, since he usually spends his time staring at the sky with a blank expression on his face.

Skinned doesn't interact much with the other members. Aggression, the only female that acts motherly towards the hatchlings, finds him to be very docile. The Canopy just does what he is told. The two leaders of the group, Silver and Gold, don't mess with him, though Gold does flash wide grins at him when he is around. Skinned does like to curl up with Aggression and the rest of the hatchlings at night and he is one of the few that don't have any nightmares.
