Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The first tinsel dragon to find his way to this clan, Adlocutio embodies the true festive spirit of giving. With his mate, Emblazon, the pair produce shiny eggs which they happily nudge into "the place where humans leave unwanted eggs" so that their offspring can be raised by other eager owners. Some of the clan's dragons question Adlocutio and Emblazon's parenting abilities and whether they realize that eggs can't fend for themselves to the same capacity as matured hatchlings. The pair seem oblivious to this, translating the scarily fast ninja reflexes of those less-than-shiny humans grabbing the eggs as a sign that their children will be cherished and loved at their new homes.
