Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

As a hatchling, Bloit was moved from caretaker to caretaker, with little understanding of why. As a result, she's never had meaningful relationships, is very attached to her childhood toys, and tries not to let others befriend her, believing they are only getting to know her so they can later take advantage of her. She learns and practices skills, including difficult spells in hard-to-read scrolls, either to protect herself from the world of nasties or to feel less inadequate. Other seasonal dragons are disturbed by her demeanor, which feeds back into her anger. Bloit moves every few years, on her own accord. Her toys are her treasures, and she wears an old blanket on her back wherever she goes. Though ambivalent or seemingly unconcerned about most of her belongings, she becomes enraged if anyone threatens her toys or blanket. Repeat offenders, even those doing it "for her good", are sent into a time loop or see a time displacement spell used on them in a creatively horrific manner.
