Among the most elusive of dragon breeds are the Aeon Wyverns, a breed whose innate control over time mana marks them singular and great. They are able to peer into the multi-dimensional plane of time, seeing all that is, all that has been, and all that could be—within a small localized zone. When utilizing particularly strong magic, the black markings carved into an Aeon’s body glow a bright cyan, painting them in an ethereal blue light. In the past, they have been sought after as oracles to bring swift resolutions to major conflicts, but it is in exactly such sorts of times that they are nowhere to be found; rather than influence the outcome, Aeons much prefer to allow the natural order of things to progress, however grim that may be.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Altering Time is a female Aeon Wyvern who frustrates many dragons that she meets. While she is kept to herself like most Aeon Wyverns, she goes as far as to only want isolation. Those who try to chat with her get a tail whipped in their face or a snout full of teeth snapping close to their necks in warning, due to the fact that she can't stand social interaction. Any dragon that comes to her for hints on what gender hatchling their egg is going to hatch into, or anything else time related they figured her species could answer, gets an angry growl and harshly beating wings.

"Not this!" She always exclaims. "Don't just think I'm gonna touch your egg and magically tell you what it's gonna be! Nuh-uh! Go to someone else for that, you staggering beast!"

Due to all of this, Altering Time has gotten a bad reputation among the dragons in her area. Mature hatchlings will roll eggs around and mockingly guess what the egg's going to be in high pitched voices. Altering Time couldn't care less.
