Among the most elusive of dragon breeds are the Aeon Wyverns, a breed whose innate control over time mana marks them singular and great. They are able to peer into the multi-dimensional plane of time, seeing all that is, all that has been, and all that could be—within a small localized zone. When utilizing particularly strong magic, the black markings carved into an Aeon’s body glow a bright cyan, painting them in an ethereal blue light. In the past, they have been sought after as oracles to bring swift resolutions to major conflicts, but it is in exactly such sorts of times that they are nowhere to be found; rather than influence the outcome, Aeons much prefer to allow the natural order of things to progress, however grim that may be.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Altered Time is just like most Aeon Wyverns. He keeps to himself and can see into the passages of time in the beat of a wing. He often sits by a stream, letting the sun soak into his scales, while dragons throughout the day come to him in search of answers. He responds in body movements, so if he hangs his head and lashes his tail, he refuses to tend to the dragon that came to him. He usually does this when they want to know how to cause something to happen, or something else along those lines. If he agrees to it, he lifts his head and looks at the dragon to tend to their request.

One thing Altered Time does agree to is giving a hint at the outcome of an egg. Dragons often bring their eggs to him and sit back with wide eyes as the graceful Wyvern touches his snout to the egg and glows a brilliant cyan. He then gives the answer and turns back around, leaving the dragon gaping in disbelief or shock.
