Thunder Dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating arcs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinitely, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A thunder dragon’s roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Years ago, Vyg resided in a nine-member clan, but she was exiled in disgrace. Every decade, they would meet with related clans and spend a day doing a variety of activities. Her little group for the most part was allowed to do as they pleased, but they absolutely couldn't miss the family gathering. Everyone knows Vyg's story: the evening before the 48th Decadal Party, she decided to go to human territory to watch ships at port, promising she'd return home on time. Some stevedores, startled by her presence and power, "appeased" her with a few barrels of whiskey, which she drank in one go. Three sheets to the wind, Vyg forgot the time. Before sunrise, she rammed headlong into an empty merchant ship with such force that half the deck was crushed and much of the hull was stuck on her face. She was out like a candle. During the day, a clan member finally found Vyg lying by the water, ship-faced, whiskey barrel beside her. When she finally sobered up, they formally ousted her from the group.
