Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It glows brightly, and seems to prefer warm areas.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

We Did Not Start The Fire was found as a wyrmling by Auric Remembrance, almost dead in the northernmost reaches of the world. Xe was the only survivor of a massacre in which all other victims had been dissected, their various organs sorted into piles on the windswept ice. Auric took Fire to the only white she knew, Thyras. Thyras restored Fire to a state not unlike life, though with her history of necromancy none can be sure if xe is truly alive or dead and brought back as a lich.  

Auric and her friend Veeolas cared for Fire as xe recovered. He recovered surprisingly well, and proved to have a photographic memory and excellent skill at drawing. On xer own, Fire drew the trihorn who caused the massacre, revealing the distinctive scar where it's middle horn was torn out.

Fire eventually chose to travel with Auric across the world, using xer skill at drawing and images to compliment Auric's memory for names, events, and political ties. She carries him on her back as they wander the world.
