The Sakuhana Wyverns are known for their alluring beauty and the sweet, pleasant aroma that follows them everywhere. Though they may be courted by numerous potential mates, a Sakuhana typically will only choose one and remain with them for the rest of their lives. They are very playful dragons that are always active and rarely sit still for long. Because of this, they are typically only seen during Spring, settle down for just long enough to find their mate. The presence of a Sakuhana always brings an influx of warmth and new growth; the dragons make use of their innate magic to help bring about an early Spring.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Amazake always had a weird habit of wanting to know how other dragons smelled, claiming that she could sense emotions based on the subtle variation in scents emanating from their scales and skin. This has led to a couple awkward encounters where she stands just a bit too close to a new acquaintance, but fortunately she will retreat fairly quickly if she "senses" negative reactions. Some of the older dragons know better and think that she's just trying to make nearby dragons more aware of her own natural floral aroma, but there are still plenty of her siblings who enjoy trying to test her skills by using various perfumes and essential oils to mask their usual smells.
