Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Despite being as black as outer space, it has a few bright patterns on it.

And look! It has grown wings and its scales have gained beautiful patterns. It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

User Description

North Star is a kind, compassionate young dragon, for the most part. She can be extremely angry at humans for the awful things they do, and even more angry at the fact that they then call themselves 'Humane' or 'Civilized'. When she was first hatched, she was friends with a serf who had a cruel lord. Though he wasn't perfect, North Star saw the human's good side and tried to look past the bad. When the lord came and killed the serf for failure to pay his taxes, North Star had had it with tyrannical humans. She helped all the lord's other serfs escape by guiding their way away from the kingdom, and that has been her self-bestowed job ever since; to guide the oppressed away from those who will bring harm to them.
