Frostbite Dragons first appear at the beginning of winter, creeping in with the frosts. They have found their place in human lore as the spirits of snow, since they only reveal themselves during icy weather. In the depths of winter, they cover the world in blankets of snow and are believed to be responsible for the glittering frost that creeps over everything. Although they appear cold and distant, they are actually rather mischievous and enjoy spending time dancing through blizzards.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Neath-snow loves playing in snowdrifts and making tracks in deep snow with his bulk. He sometimes creates, too, but what he makes in the cold is not snow. Or at least it's not strictly snow. He draws out water from under the ground, but on its way through the earth, it becomes something else, a magical, eerie substance that's harmful to small animals. What the dragon makes once the water is aboveground looks and feels like snow, albeit oilier, but it smells like seafood and tomcats. Humans who handle the stuff for an hour or two find themselves dreaming of dark shores, faint lights, and extraordinary things. They sometimes find Neath-snow while he's engaged in his business and scoop pails of it for experimentation when they return home. They can do whatever they want, though Neath-snow would not recommend eating his so-called snow.
