Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It likes to perch on the high branches of the taller trees and look longingly up at the sky.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Metal is a young member of a group of twisted Canopy Dragons who live in a small forest. Referring to itself as a male, Metal is the second hatchling to feel rebellious in the group. While he was not captured like Strong, he does not like how the members treat each other and how everyone is afraid of the two leaders, Silver and Gold. Metal is a little brash, with a loud voice and a strong will.

The hatchling's interactions with the other members are usually short. He doesn't like seeing the female Canopy Dragons mope around or snap at each other, so he avoids them. When with the other hatchlings, Metal sometimes tries to get them to play with him, though Strong is the only hatchling that goes with his wishes. Metal hates the two male leaders, Silver and Gold, and they know it. Even with this knowledge, Gold gives Metal wide smirks whenever he sees him, making the hatchling get angry and frustrated.

Metal dreams for the day when both he and Strong will run away together.
