Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

DarkBlackLuck is a Black Dragon with the worst luck around. As an egg, he accidentally rolled off a cliff, and landed in a river. He was caught by a fisherman in his net—and that man thought he had terrible luck that day, to not catch any fish but only an unwanted egg. The man set it outside a nearby cave, but somehow DarkBlackLuck's egg was accidentally pushed to the side. He might have had to hatch all alone, except that his owner tripped over his egg, coming back from leaving a few eggs of her own. But DarkBlackLuck's rotten luck didn't end there, as a hatchling he accidentally fell onto a broken tree and was impaled by a huge splinter, which almost caused him to bleed out and die. Thankfully there were strong healers in the Clinic of DarkBlackLuck's cave. Finally, as an adult, the dragon he was hopelessly in love with refused to be with him—and she left for another cave. DarkBlackLuck just has really bad luck.
