As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.
Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.
User Description
Lune is rarely seen by any of the dragons in his tamer's cave due to his intense shyness. Even his tamer has trouble getting him to warm up to her, so she usually presents him with a small offering of fruit. He will usually take the food, but quickly flies away before she can pet him or check him over for sicknesses. If Lune is ill, however, it is very obvious; he will be awake (albeit very bleary-eyed) during the day, as well as sleep at night. Ordinarily, he is most active at night and leaves the cave, only returning when the sun begins to rise the next morning.
