Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Blizzard of Fury gained her father's love for cold weather. Because of this, she has spent the majority of her life creating snowstorms in northern Alaska and Canada. Being hundreds of years old, Blizzard Fury has witnessed global warming and the effect it has on her home. The melting of the polar ice caps infuriates her immensely and has cause her to take that anger out yearly on one of the most densely populated areas of human civilization: the northeast coast of the United States. While not the first storm dragon to participate in the annual weather event call "nor'easters," Blizzard Maker is one of the most famous participants. She originally made a name for herself in 1993, when she single-handedly created the "Storm of the Century," also known as the (Great) Blizzard of 1993. Since then, Blizzard Maker's ability over weather has been minimal, as she used up almost all of her powers to create the Blizzard.
