Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Leroy Jones lives in a town, population 410. He claims to be a human turned into a dragon by a spell, but hardly anyone believes him. Those who do are playing along or are described by other townsfolk as not-all-there. Leroy obeys the laws, lives in an apartment, and uses money. He disinters corpses for a living, alongside a female coworker. For reasons he doesn't understand, he, a male drag- er, "ex-human", can only dig the graves of men, while his coworker digs the graves of women. He is glad to have any work at all and has held onto his job for decades, though none of his employers or the court people believe he was a human once. Whether Leroy is human-shaped or dragon-shaped matters not, though work is sometimes easier and sometimes harder when it comes to the speed or precision needed for a specific exhumation. Whenever he has a new assignment, the authorities show him the papers, direct him to the correct cemetery, and simply say, "Ex-human, exhume man".
