Avatars of Change are unpredictable, exuberant dragons whose unique connection to magic has saturated their entire bodies. It is said that possessing one of their iridescent scales can change one’s fate, and many have sought the favor of these dragons hoping to receive a scale as a gift.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Not only is his flight ability on par with many skywings, Immunodeficiency knows a lot about the sky way above the ground. He can rattle off a bunch of facts about the various "spheres"—layers of air stuff—surrounding the planet. The higher the altitude, the more facts he has to share. Once he gets to the exosphere, the layer that merges with outer space, he could write a whole book about it if he knew how and felt like it. Other dragons find him interesting and have even allowed him to ride them to get a teeny bit closer to his favorite subject matter, but they don't like the way he can get uppity about his vast knowledge and natural skills when it comes to flying. Immunodeficiency may be smart and graceful and quick, but his altitude aptitude attitude can become grating.
