This hatchling could hardly be considered cute.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This dragon doesn't have an official name—he keeps rubbing it out in the books—but everyone calls him Tawpy. He thinks he is super cute. Also, he probably smells really nice, like lavender and honey, if only someone would give him a deeper sniff. As a cute, not bad-smelling hatchling, he looks at everyone with puppy eyes. He even coos and wags his tail. Not many other dragons seem to think he's cute. They go, "Ugh, the naked, smelly baby is staring at me and being noisy again", and then he doesn't get treats and hugs like the other hatchlings. That's kind of unfair, so he continues emulating them.
