Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

He is exceptionally simple-minded, very easy to trick and manipulate. Goop (falling in line with the sap and nectar-themed naming scheme of his family) is particularly dim. He appears to have some form of short-term memory, since he can barely recall anything about ten to twenty minutes ago. He is a very playful and friendly drake, very trusting as well. Goop will readily engage with even the most remotely kind hand. Even if he is attacked by that same hand, he is reluctant to leave it aside. While he isn't the quickest creature on four legs, he is quite physically powerful. He is the strongest of his siblings, able to pull about twice his own weight, though not without some struggle. This makes him a supreme hunter, since he is able to ground and pin larger animals more easily than his siblings. This also makes him an unfortunate roughhousing partner, since he usually won't quit until he's ready to. Exceptionally malleable, Goop is unfortunately an easy target for manipulators.
